No it wouldnt stop me coming again we are even planning next years event!!!.A great campsite with excelant facilities and very clean.Keep up the good work and i recomend it to anyone to give it a try.

We are very sorry to hear about the problems you experienced over the weekend but glad to hear they did not affect your stay!  We do try our best to keep the noise level down after 10.30pm. We do have security staff on site and they are required to walk around the campsite at night making sure noise is kept to a minimum level as not to bother other campers. If on a future visit you encounter another night of disturbance we would recommend calling the mobile number or ringing the doorbell at Reception so the security staff can sort out the problem there and then. Persistent noise makers are asked to leave the campsite, one group of people who were making a nuisance of themselves over the weekend were made to leave!

My first time at Barn Farm and there was 15 of us.It is a great place to stay facilities are excelant.Staff very nice.It made a nice change not to have to wait for showers as you have to at some of the others i have been to.Very clean too.The children were kept occupied all weekend with the play area.A great place. Its just a shame some of the people who stayed didnt take notice of the rules.1.30 am shouting and yelling from one tent then deciding to throw away all there bottles in the dustbin at that time.I have never seen so many drunken women on a camp site before.9.20 in the morning and one lady had to be helped to the toilet and iwas deffinatly alcohol.Even when my daughter was in the shower someone was being sick with alcohol in the next shower.7.30pm two drunken ladies loitering near the toilets. We were in field 2 and on our last night there was 20 teenagers next to us looked like they were doing their Duke of Edinburgh awards. The field next to the Stables only had 3 tents in at that time.Obviously you get noise with that many teenagers but they were up before 6am.We had children with us so obviously we were awakened then.Perhaps they could have gone n the emptiest field where they wouldnt disturb people. There is a 5 mph rule which is great but it doesnt apply to the staff going round collecting the rubbish. Please listen for when they are about and dont let children run out behind a tent as they do drive at more than 5mph.A great place all thats missing is the sound of the sea.

My husband tried to get me camping for several years with our boys and I always said no. Barn Farm was the first site we tried it was -1 C our first night, we had a rubbish tent as wasn't prepared at all, and we all loved it. Why!!!! Barn farm has great facilities (showers are amazing) the staff are really helpful but more than anything we felt our kids were safe playing on the site and as a bonus making new friends. Since then we have visited several times each time enjoying the quality of the site, making new friends and watching our kids have fun as we relax. This weekend and the carnival was our best ever weekend away the village was brilliant which then moved onto the site with live music, everyone had an incredible time. We certainly intend to make this an annual event as do several of the friends that came (several of which were camping virgins). To summarise, great value, great helpful staff a site we will certainly be using again and again, well done Barn Farm

Brilliant campsite and fantastic value for money. Showers, toilets etc are great and cleaned every day. Pot wash areas with hot water. Nice outdoor play area for the kids and indoor games room. Washing machine and tumble dryer available too. Two pubs within 10 mins walk but they are a bit pricey for food. Would highly recomend this camping site. Thank you to the staff too.

Thanks Barn Farm for another season of great camping. This is our third year of visiting your site and so far we have managed 4 camps this year with our children. All is lovely here. From west Sheffield it takes us 35 mins to get here so in under an hour we can have the tent up and the kettle on... The staff are very kind and patiently open the shop to sell our kids 10 packets of tic tacs and the play area has been a great addition.  The site is really clean and there are no marked pitches which allows groups of friends and families camp near to each other easily. Although we like the big field we have also camped on the slopey field and had lots of fun there too... This is the best Peak District camp site. We have tried other sites around Bakewell and have been put off by stuffy owners who seem to charge extra for cars, extra tents, dogs , fun and for breathing... Occasional night time noise is  inevitable on a busy site but it is politely dealt with and even at August bank holiday our children have never been kept awake or woken up by other campers. Thanks to all the lovely owners and staff. We will return. (And there is quality toilet paper too. None of your cheap rubbish...)

We too love barnfarm. Our 3rd trip this year and although not a major problem, we also had to put up late naught antics from a private party in the barn area......and won't repeat what was going on in the carpark!!! It is such a shame that people feel the need to break the rules and spoil the experience for others ....particularly those with children. This is a fantastic 'family' site and I only hope it stays this way!!

We were camping at Barn Farm on the Saturday night re the post dated 5th of September.  The noise from this party was loud & rightly were told to shut up. The web site clearly & honestly states this is a family site & occasional party nights are held in the barns but they have never made that sort of noise like these did!  The web site also states minimum noise after 10.30pm & most respect that. In my opinion do not take that post as gospel as they were damned loud & showed no respect for the others camping! Maybe more research about where to stay to celebrate leaving for university would have been more benficial!  Barn Farm is one of the best sites we have stayed in & just occasionally you get folks stay who think they can make their own rules & not give a frig about others! I for one are glad they wont be back :o)

Love love love this campsite. we have been about a dozen times over the last 3 years. We are a group of 4 couples and we have always had good experiences would urge families and couples to give it a try. The staff and facilities are excellent. Can't praise this place enough.

I was dissapointed with my stay as when we were booking we were told that it would be a suitable location for a group of teenagers wanting a few nights away before leaving to go to university. Although our tent was as far away from other campers as possible at 8.30 we were told to turn the music down even though it was not loud, by 10 o'clock the music was turned off and even though we were not being loud we were still told to quieten down. Following this in the morning we were told we were no longer allowed to stay at the campsite and therefore had to cut our results celebrations short and return home. Overall it was highly dissapointing as we were informed that this was going to to be an ideal location as it was the venue for many hen and stag parties. After this, none of my party will be returning to the campsite and will ensure that nobody that we know will book to stay here either.
